Adeptus Mechanicus and the Inquisition don't get along especially well and Admech usually only lends them any strength if they see some sort of benefit in it. Skitarii are pretty unlikely because an adept wouldn't have much of a retinue if any, but sending an adept to find traces of old or heretical tech is super plausible.
